Thermodynamics
Learning Goal: I can apply the basics of thermal energy transfers to design, build, and test a device that keeps liquid warm.
Borrowing from the Science Olympiad event Keep the Heat, the thermodynamics project was created. Students used Discovery Education resources to research thermal energy content. Several tests are conducted with various water temperatures and volumes. Using the data that students have gathered from their tests, they predict the ending temperature of their box after an undisclosed amount of time.
